I’m Pastor Justin McKay. In 2020, a year when everything felt uncertain, my wife, Lacy, and I moved to Colorado, convinced that God was calling us to plant Valor Church. I serve as the pastor, feeling called to take on this mission of preaching God’s Word plainly and shepherding a community that builds bold, resilient faith. Lacy is on staff and plays a vital role in everything we do, you’ll enjoy meeting her.
Valor, from Hebrew chayil, means courage fused with virtue, rising generation to generation, unshakable and counter-cultural, shining as Christ’s city on a hill. We’ve felt the hunger for this kind of depth. Valor is our response, a Bible-anchored church committed to truth, prayer, and real life together.

The last place we expected to find our church home was at a community festival—but that’s where we met Pastor Justin. His passion for the Lord and for Arvada stuck with us. We’d become sporadic attenders elsewhere, never truly feeling connected. From the moment we walked into our first service, it was clear: this is a welcoming, Jesus-loving, grace-filled family. We knew right away this was where God had been preparing our hearts to be.
